Nutrition plays a vital role in having a
healthy pregnancy for both you and your developing baby.
Registered Dietitians (RDs) can help answer questions you may have
regarding proper nutrition, food safety, and appropriate weight
gain during pregnancy. Dietitians can also help you with
common problems you may experience while pregnant, including:
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- constipation,
- heartburn, and
- swelling.
You may also have questions about the truth behind nutrition
information you obtain from other resources, such as magazines and
television. Dietitians can provide you with research-based
information to help you separate fact from fiction and have a
healthy, worry-free pregnancy. Of course, questions about nutrition
do not stop after pregnancy and dietitians are also a great
resource for information regarding breastfeeding and other topics
related to infant and childhood nutrition.
If you are interested in meeting with a Registered Dietitian,
outpatient consult services are available to you at Lourdes.
Our registered dietitians provide current medical and scientific
nutrition information, as well as counseling strategies to help you
meet your individual goals.
